When I decided to run the 2025 Chicago Marathon the first step was to find a charity I could support and be proud to run for. As a social worker I have spent years trying to find services for children in need - from therapy to mentorships and everything in between. Mercy Home not only helps connect children and families in need with services, but it also continues to provide support long afterwards to maintain progress made. You all know I could talk for hours about service gaps and families in need, but this year I'm putting my money (and legs) where my mouth is and fundraising for this amazing organization.
