Born and raised in Chicago, I felt it was only right for my first marathon to be through the streets of Near North Montessori, Wrigley Field, Whitney Young, 900 N. Michigan, and many more landmark locations of my life.
I grew up playing soccer and volleyball and that hasn’t changed. I’m still on the field today, now playing soccer at Mercy Home. Taking on this marathon is a chance to go from a team sport athlete to an individual challenge, while still running for something bigger than myself.
Mercy Home provides stability, opportunity, and hope to young people across Chicago, values that reflect the spirit of the city. Please consider supporting my fundraising efforts for the 2026 Mercy Home Heroes Chicago Marathon. No donation is too small, and every contribution helps make a real impact. Click the Donate Today button and join me in what will be my biggest feat yet.
Thank you for supporting me and the cause. I truly couldn't do it without you. I hope to see you out on the course in October.
With love,
Sarah
